SNL Saturday Holiday Flashback #2

Every Saturday from now through the end of the year, we're going to feature a holiday flashback from NBC's Saturday Night Live in honor of this festive season and SNL's 40th anniversary. Today, we're actually featuring two clips — parody ads promoting two different holiday music albums. The first bit, from December 1998, is an ad for an album of bright and cheery Chanukah Hymns, and it features guest host Alec Baldwin and regular players Chris Kattan, Jimmy Fallon, Molly Shannon, Will Farrell and more:

The second, from December 2011, is an ad for an album of Christmas duets featuring the real Michael Bublé (playing himself) singing holiday favorites with other singers from Sting (guest host Jimmy Fallon) to M.I.A. (Nasseem Pedrad) to Kanye West (Jay Pharaoh). This was one of the most popular sketches from the 2011-12 season, and it's easy to see why:

Be sure to check back next Saturday for another holiday-themed clip from the vaults of Saturday Night Live, and watch SNL each Saturday at 11:30 pm on NBC. (I won't be able to watch tonight, but the guest host is James Franco, who I'm not wild about, with musical guest Nicki Minaj, who I can't stand. Better luck, next week. BTW, if you let each of the above clips keep playing, you'll see a whole string of extra bonus clips from previous SNL broadcasts. And you can still catch last week's SNL Christmas special on NBC's website HERE. See, we're taking JCPenney's message to heart.)
